When I set my feet in the amazing land of Malaysia..My heart clamor for many things this country can offer us..
Indeed Malaysia, never failed to live up with our expectations..
It was my first time to travel outside the country so I was just so excited to go places I've never seen before..
One of the first few places we visited was the Batu Caves.
Amazingly, before we reached the peak of Batu Caves..
A Murugan temple welcomed us..
The temple stands 42.7 meters or 140 ft high and is the world's tallest statue of Murugan, a Hindu deity. Accordingly, it has 300 liters of gold paint brought from neighbouring country-Thailand.
Even from afar, this statue is recognizable as it dominates the view.Truly, this shows the religiosity of Malaysian. I realized that there is a beauty in it-in fact a double wonder. Completely unfathomable, and totally off the charts or our reason.
It is 13 km away from Gombak District in Malaysia...You can reach it through riding a bus which is much cheaper than taxi.
As I look upon the statue, I soon start to recognize the set-apartness of our Creator. There are so many elements of the created order, as God uses His mind-blowing creation to remind us of His Magnificience. We look toward the heights of a God who is merciful in His ways and magnificient in His deeds.
So the next time you visit Malaysia...behold and be amazed with the wonders of this temple..
Put in your checklist Batu Caves...and see for yourself the grandeur that will unveil before your own eyes..Indeed Malaysia.......Truly Asia....

PETRONAS TWIN TOWERS-MALAYSIA
So the first night I stayed there, with a British Friend I knew in the hotel...I found myself heading to one of the most popular attraction of Malaysia..........The PETRONAS TWIN TOWERS...
The Petronas towers were the tallest building from 1998-2004 until Taipei 101 was completed. This is an 88 story building which houses the headquarters of Petronas, the National petroleum company of Malaysia. It was designed by Argentinian architect Cesar Pelli.
In your next trip, pay a visit to Petronas and be hipnotized with its grandeur.
I say, I left my heart in Malaysia-coz its truly Asia..

WAT ARUN's MYSTERY
There are 31,200 Buddhist temples also known as Wat in
Thailand.
One of the most interesting places that
caught my attention while cruising the Chao Phraya river in Thailand is the
Wat Arun or the Temple of dawn.
This is one of the most striking and famous
riverside landmarks of Thailand located majestically on the Thonburi or West bank of the Chao Phraya river.
The four-corner prang of Wat Arun, which
house images of the guardian gods of the four directions, reinforces this
mystical symbolism.
The temple has flourished throughout the
Rattanakosin Period. Its present height is 104 meters.
It has an imposing spire over 70 metres
high, beautifully decorated with tiny pieces of coloured glass and Chinese
porcelain placed delicately into intricate patterns. It has a long elongated, Khmer-style, prang,
the tower and the minor towers symbolizing Mount Meru, the terrestrial
representation of the thirty-three heavens.
Steep steps lead to the two terraces that
form the base of the Prang. The different layers, or heavens, are supported by
Kinnaree, or half-humans, and frightening Yaksas, or demons and monkeys.
Although the temple had existed since at
least the seventeenth century, its distinctive prang(spires) were built in the
early nineteenth century during the reign of King Rama II.
The full name of the temple is
WatArunRatchawararamRatchawaramahawihan .
Although it is known as the Temple of the Dawn, it's absolutely stunning at
sunset, particularly when lit up at night which I never tried! Maybe in my next journey I will try it during night time.
This temple can be reached either by
ArunAmarin Road or by boat from ThaTien Pier, near Wat Pho.
For 150 Baht you can try river cruising and enjoy Thailand's tourist destination!

WAKEBOARDING ESCAPADE
Thinking of having some serious fun under the sun?
Well I have a good suggestion for you,
Why don't you dare yourself to try these water sport that will bring adrenaline pumping thrill while balancing yourself off to waters.
WAKE BOARDING is definitely an action packed leisure one should try!
Whenever I see celebrities trying this watersport, I got really envious!I would always tell myself that one day I will try it myself.
Although this kind of sports really requires flexibility, balance, agility, strength and most of all courage.
This will give you the challenge to surpass and overcome water obstacles.
Wakeboarding is a surface water sport which involves riding a wakeboard over the surface of a body of a water. It was developed from a combination of water skiing, snowboarding and surfing techniques. The rider is usually towed with a motor boat, closed-course cable system.
Though an extreme sport, its still done by both men and women. Women can do many complex wakeboarding tricks. While doing the activity in Davao, I was really amazed seeing Selena. A 14 year-old wakeboarding champion in Davao playfully balancing herself up while passing different water obstacles.
Before you can do this, you must have a board.
Boards are buoyant with the core usually made up of foam or honeycomb mixed with resin and coated with fiberglass.
For best results and easy wakeboarding, this sport is normally done in lakes, though the intercoastal waterways are also becoming popular
The first try is so crucial, this is the time wherein you will fail many times, it took me the whole day but still i was not able to stand at the board! But its an experience for me that I will always treasure forever!
So for adventure lover Wakeboarding is the sports to be!

BACKPACKER'S GUIDE
Travel should be fun and enjoyable. To
avoid travel stress, you may follow these simple tips so you can take adventure
and fun of traveling to the next level.
1. THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IS YOUR PASSPORT
When you travel, always carry your passport with you anywhere you go. Dont leave it on your hotel, because there might be cases when authorities will check it for verification purposes. Scan or photocopy all the necessary information, visa pages and email it in your account for back-up.
2. YOU MUST PLAN YOUR ITINERARY FOR THE DAY
Before you travel, you must see to it that you have plans where you want to go and what you want to do. It will save you a lot of time. You will also make the most of your travel since everything was planned carefully.
3. ALWAYS CARRY LIGHT BAG
Dont carry too much stuff, while traveling you must carry few things on your bag so it's easy for you to move. If you can pack all your clothes and other things you need in just one backpack the better it will be.
4. DON'T SHOW YOUR WEALTH TO UNKNOWN PLACES
Be simple, wear simple clothes, and don't wear too much jewellery. Be on your toes always. Keep your eyes open for your bags. Always locked it and chained to your seat if you are taking public transport for long hours of your trips.
5. BE PHYSICALLY PREPARED
One thing you should do before traveling is to prepare yourself for long hours of walking or even riding public transportation. Start exercising weeks or month before your scheduled trip, you may try brisk walking everyday. Mind setting is also important. With so many thing to do with lesser time, you really have to prepare yourself for it.
6. BRING SOME MEDICINES
Its a must that you have medicines in your pocket or in your bag. Headaches or body pains may strike anytime. If you have medicines you can take it anytime or anywhere. You will not waste any moment or time traveling complaining about your head aching or your body pains.
7. WEAR SUNBLOCK/HEAD COVERING
Most especially if you travel during summer season, it has extremely hot weather. So to protect your skin from too much sun exposure, always wear sunblock. Don't go out on your hotel room without head covering or even sun glasses. This way it will prevent your skin from damage. So while enjoying everything, you will still come home with skin still beautiful and glowing.
8.WEAR COMFORTABLE CLOTHES
While you are excited for more sight-seeing, you should also wear clothes/shoes or slippers you are comfortable. It will help a lot since it will give you more comfortable feeling while walking and roaming around. But some other places most especially temples requires you to dress up properly, no slippers or shorts policy.
9. MAKE MAP AS YOUR BEST FRIEND
When you travel, you should always bring map, so you won't get lost in places you want to go. When you arrive at the airport, you can just grab one or as many as you can since it's free.
10. DARE TO ASK
Asking is not a crime. So if you travel and you are not sure which way to go, don't be afraid to ask somebody. Some countries which are tourist areas, people just love to show you your way especilly in Singapore. I have a good experience with Singaporeans. When you asked them, aside from they will show you the right way, sometimes if they are not busy or in a hurry they will accompany you until you reach your destination. If you are first time traveler, keeping these in mind will help you save time and effort in your travel. So be safe and unleash that explorer spirit inside of you!
